Gapminder Thailand Economic Gap Chart 2006

This is Gapminder's Chart that show the economic divide between the poorest and the richest part of Thailand

In the chart you can see the northeastern part of Thailand is the poorest part and Bangkok and the vicinities is the richest part. It has not been surprise information but the chart is prove what cause of the problem of this country.

The economy of the northeastern and north part of thailand is depend on agriculture but don't have a good irrigation system. The good price of rubber and tourism drive the economic of southern part better than the northeastern and north. The western and central part are also agriculture areas and those are good irrigation system therefore they have good productivity. The eastern and Bangkok is the center of indrutrial and financial also be the hub of transportation so this areas is the richest part of the country.

This is the one of the information visualization project of ChangeFusion. The chart is coorparation work between ChangeFusion and Gapmainder Foundation.
