ChangeFusion Nepal is proud to launch “Nepal Young Social Entrepreneurs Competition 2009”to identify talented young Nepali whose social enterprise innovatively solve social and/or environmental problems. The finalists will be invited to the capacity building workshop to sharpen their social business plans, the output of the workshop will be rated and the winners will receive incubation supports as well as USD 5,000 quasi-loan for seed/startup level and fund raising support for scale-up level social enterprise needing USD 50k - 400k to scale their operation.

As Nepal just reemerged from a prolonged civil war, the high unemployment rampages the country. Social entrepreneurship for sustainability is a viable option for young Nepalese who are prone to political and economic abuse.

Who’s eligible

● Young Nepalese (20-35 years old)
● Started a social enterprise that innovatively solves social/environmental problems in an innovative manner.
● Example; fair trade, cultural preservation, organic and sustainable agriculture, alternative energy, professional service for non-profit (such as web development, communication and consulting).
